Tri Nations 2009

Welcome to the Sportal Fantasy Tri Nations competition. The Sportal Fantasy Tri Nations competition is a exciting and interactive competition where your role as coach and selector of your own rugby union team is to select a competitive team to match up against your family, friends and other Rugby Union supporters.

This competition is based on the current Rugby Union Tri Nations competition between Australia (Wallabies), New Zealand (All Blacks) and South Africa (Springboks).

Each team plays each other three times with either two at home and one away or two away and one at home. All matches are on either a Saturday night, evening or afternoon local time. The three games in New Zealand will be played at 7:35pm local time which equates to 5:35pm AEST time. Two games in Australia will be played in Sydney and Brisbane at 8pm which equates to 6pm New Zealand time. The Perth match will be played at 6pm local time which equates to 8pm AEST time and 10pm New Zealand time. The three South African games will be played at 3:05pm local time which equates to 11:05pm AEST time and 1:05am New Zealand time.

In your role as selector, you will be required to select a balanced team from a salary cap of $5,000,000 ($5 million) from the three competing teams in the Tri Nations competition.

The winner of the overall standings in the Sportal Fantasy Tri Nations Competition will be the winner of the competition. The overall winner of the competition from Australia or New Zealand will win a rugby jersey of the winner’s choice (Wallabies, All Blacks or Springboks).
